Arts On Division is a non profit art gallery dedicated to building community through the arts and arts education. Its mission is to promote the advancement, development and support of the visual, musical, physical and literary arts with the belief this will positively contribute to the quality of life for all residents and contribute to economic and community development in the Borough of Somerville, New Jersey and its surrounding areas.

The earliest known fire company of which there is any record, and on which the department’s centennial anniversary date is based, was called Washington Fire Company No. 1.

Records show it was organized in 1835. The museum currently houses a “goose neck” fire engine.

The Somerset County Courthouse is located in Somerville, the county seat Somerset County, in New Jersey, United States.

Constructed in between 1907 and 1909 in the Neo-classical style Palladian style and is faced with Sylacauga marble. It had once been considered for demolition for not being large enough to accommodate the growing county. A much larger, modern masonry and glass structure behind it, now serves its judicial functions.

Walking down Main Street is like visiting a town from your youth! Beautfiul white courthouse at one end and small shop and lots restaurants and antique places along the way. Antique car nights on Fridays in the summer! Benches along the way and lots of restaurants.

With its crenelated tower, projecting gargoyles, stout buttresses, and warmly recognized big red doors, it’s easy to see what St. John’s Episcopal Church is all about: worship, community and service.

Borrowing from the Rule of Benedict, St. John’s Church strives to be a place where “the strong continue to have something to desire and the weak nothing for which to be afraid.”

The Wallace House is a Georgian style historic house, which served as the headquarters of General George Washington during the second Middlebrook encampment (1778–79), located at 38 Washington Place, Somerville, Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 2, 1970.
